SSHS Principal Dr. Judy Go Tan named as Cebu Anonymous Outstanding Principal for S.Y. 2016-2017

St. Stephen’s High School Principal Dr. Judy Go Tan was named as the Outstanding Chinese-Filipino School Principal for SY 2016-2017. The prestigious annual search for the outstanding Chinese-Filipino school educators all over the country was sponsored by the Cebu Anonymous Philanthropist (Don Henry Sy Gaisano) Foundation. The awarding ceremony held at the Federation Auditorium of Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry was witnessed by hundreds of Filipino-Chinese teachers, on March 11, 2017.

Dr. Tan is a hardworking and dedicated principal. She possesses a strong and unique style of leadership and has a wide range of experiences in managing a school. She is highly commended for her selfless contributions in spearheading the various projects of the school. Among the many reasons why St. Stephen’s High School continues to shine on its centennial year.

In school, Dr. Tan serves with a loving heart and is a considerate leader to all her subordinates. She provides invaluable guidance and advice to students, and gives warm reception and support to parents. She is very courteous, oftentimes talks with a gentle tone and a warm smile on her face. She is happy to listen and pray for the problems of anyone in school especially in times of difficulties. She is well-loved by the people.

She leads the school by example, so not only everyone in the school is jubilant for her triumph, but the whole Stephenian community as well. But most importantly, glory belongs to our God, who is the supreme head of the school.

Truly, this added accolade to her name proves that her contributions to the Chinese education are well appreciated as she continues to be a lighthouse in the community.
