Snapshots and Portraits
The Chancel Repertory Theatre, in cooperation with St. Stephen’s High School, St. Stephen’s Parish and St. Stephen’s High School Alumni Association, presented “Snapshots and Portraits”, a two-act play about Family, directed by Maribel Legarda. It was held at The Auditorium last Sept. 6, 2015. Alumni in the cast were Nenel Lau Arcayan and Joan Menco.
Snapshots and Portraits is about a family going through a rough time, wherein fear, pain, and sorrow test their relationship with God. The main character, Jim Lee, in his loneliness, looks inside himself and finds the heart of God in the memory of his dearly departed wife, a woman of faith and counsel. Living by faith is not easy, but when we turn our eyes to God, He will lead us from strength to strength. Our story ends happily, not from the absence of problems, but from a deep conviction that a Great Sovereign God will help us overcome them. (Isaiah 55)
The event started at 4:00 pm with an invocation by Ms. Conchita Lim, Acting Head of the Elem. Office of Student Affairs, followed by an Opening Remarks by Dr. Judy Go Tan, Principal of St. Stephen’s High School. A short message was also given by Mr. Mario Sy, President of the St. Stephen’s High School Alumni Association. The play ended with a clincher by Mark Aranal, the main character of the play. We give God all the glory and praise!
