Science Exhibit 2017 - STEPHENNOVATE: Maximizing Potentials in Science and Innovation
The High School Science Department in cooperation with the HS Science Club organized the annual Science exhibit with the theme, “STEPHENNOVATE: Maximizing Potentials in Science and Innovation”. The exhibit was formally opened last March 6, 2017 by the School Principal, Dr. Judy Go Tan, together with a special guest who is an Alumnus, Dr. Ron Leonard Dy, Ph. D. in MBB.
This year’s exhibit focus on the significance of Science to come up with innovations that will improve the quality of life. Each grade level of the HS department presented different Science projects geared towards such goal.
Grade 12 students focused on food technology while Grade 11 students, in coordination with the Computer Department, came up Robotics projects with the emphasis in the uses of sensors.
Grade 8 to 10 showcased their knowledge and skills in scientific research by coming up with different investigatory projects while the Grade7 put up different science models.
The annual Science exhibit continues to provide students practical experiences in using the scientific method and help stimulate their interest in scientific inquiry. The outcomes of the students’ work will serve as initial steps to improve the lives of people or protect the environment.
