Sports Fest 2015 Kicks Off with a Blast

The Annual Sports Fest sponsored by the Committee on Student Activities (CSA) with the theme: “Reaching the Summit “kicked off on October 16, 2015, bringing the whole High School Stephenians to a greater height of festivity.

The program started with a parade of student athletes representing their respective batches. A series of activities was prepared by the CSA for them to participate with sportsmanship in mind on this fun – filled day. This is the main goal of every Sports Fest.

Dr. Judy Go Tan, the principal, spearheaded the ribbon-cutting and formally opened the Sports Fest with a inspiring Opening remarks followed by the Pledge of Sportsmanship.

With zest and in high spirit, high school students wearing their batch shirts, took pride to cheer for their batch on that day. They competed on the following events: Cheering competitions, Mascot, T-shirt Design, Muse and Escort, some games and the coveted Stephenian Records. There was also the Annual Cheer Dance Exhibition which not only served as entertainment number but also showcased the talents of selected students.

A simple awarding ceremony ended the Sports Fest 2015 with a blast. The winners were: Best in Cheering – Grade 10; Best in T-shirt Designing – Grade 9; Best Muse and Escort – Grade 10 ; Best in Mascot – Grade 8.

This is one avenue to uphold teamwork, confidence and promote wellness and camaraderie among students. Sports Fest 2015 has indeed reached its goal and summit as well.
