Go for Education! - St. Stephen’s High School’s Priceless Participation in the FEDRUN 2015

A total of 1,100 participants from the SSHS Family consisting of school administrators, teachers, students, parents and alumni, actively participated in the Fed Run 2015 for Education last January 25, 2015 at SM Mall of Asia.

The event was organized by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Alumni Associations, Inc., hosted by the St. Jude Catholic School Alumni Association, and co – hosted by three Alumni Associations: St. Stephen’s High School Alumni Association, Philippine Institute of Quezon City Alumni Association, Inc. and Northern Rizal Yorklin School Alumni Association, Inc.

There were four main events for that day namely: 3K, 5K, 10K and the 16K run, where more than Eight thousand participants from different Filipino - Chinese schools eagerly flocked to the venue as early as 3:30 a.m.. Many of the participants ran to stay fit and healthy but with one noble cause – that is for Education.

At the end of the event, the top runners for each category were recognized / awarded, and those who finished the race were also given a medal and a gift pack from the sponsoring partners.

SSHS garnered 1st Runner- Up for Biggest Contingent and Fastest School for 10K Category. Many students from our school emerged also as winners in their respective races. This event made the rewards for all the participants of this significant event priceless: a feeling of tremendous accomplishment in helping others; the thrill of crossing the finish lines regardless of the time; and lastly, the pride of bringing honor to their respective schools.
