SSHS touches a worldwide culture - Chinese Calligraphy
Chinese calligraphy is the art of writing Chinese characters and a way of exchanging ideas and cultural heritage. Chinese Calligraphy is like painting, because many written words have actually evolved from pictures. Through its medium of form, ways of handling the brush, presentation, and style, the inner feelings of every individual can be expressed through Chinese calligraphy.
The school, through the assistance of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission, is blessed to have another 2- week session of learning Chinese calligraphy from July 27 to August 7, 2015, with the presence of Mr. Liou Jen Shing, who comes from Taiwan, R.O.C.
The school is honored to have Mr. George Wu and Mrs. Huang Fong Chiao, Deputy Directors from Taiwan Economic and Cultural Office during the Exhibit of participants’ works which concluded this meaningful activity on August 7, 2015. At the same time, the Grade 11 Stem – Luke students also participated in their rendition of a beautiful Chinese song, “我們擁有一個名字叫中國 “.
