Chinese Culture Revisited through Chinese Arts and Crafts

SSHS believes that through art and creativity, students with artistic instincts have the capacity to enhance the creative thinking and thus, the opportunity to be inspired and grow outside of the traditional classroom’s setting.

One way to attain this vision is by introducing Chinese Arts and Crafts, brought to the school by Mr. Luo Hsien Fu, who hails from Taiwan, Republic of China. Mr. Luo by nature, is passionate with Arts and Crafts himself.

This wonderful two - week “hands – on” experience held last June 22 to July 2, 2015 was made possible with the assistance of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission. Culminating the activity on July 3, 2015 is the showcase of the many simple yet elegant artworks of the participants. This significant event was graced by non-other than the Representative from Taiwan, R.O.C., Mr. George Wu.
