Enjoying the Real Beauty in Baguio!
What is more rewarding than having some fun- filled yet relaxing moments together with your colleagues in a cool and breezy place?
This happened last May 26 to 29, 2015, when SSHS School Director, Mrs. Marianne Tan and School Principal, Dr. Judy Go Tan headed the 20 people administrative team to the Summer Capital of the Philippines - Baguio City, a city relatively known for its cold climate and beautiful sceneries, as it was located on top of glorious mountains constantly kissed by the clouds. Aside from enjoying the camaraderie. Baguio indeed offers a way of escaping the scorching heat during summer months.
They stayed in a hotel that boasts of its tradition of beauty and excellence for 110th years - the Baguio Country Club. The group was accommodated and treated with delightful meals during their entire stay.
During the short stay, the ff. places were visited: Brent International School, Easter Weaving Room, The Philippine Military Academy, Camp John Hay, The Holy Land, Mines View and The Mansion to name a few. Of course, a trip to Baguio will never be complete without bringing home sweets and delicacies from the Baguio Country Club and Good Shepherd.
Another interesting attraction which showcases the authentic old Baguio experience is The BenCab Museum, a serene place that houses the National Artist Ben Cabrera's exquisite collection of art pieces – from drawings to sketches, paintings, sculptures, art installations and artifacts, among many others.
It is indeed a wonderful experience for the group – enjoying the real beauty of Mother Nature and good company.
